During our visit to the Port of Rotterdam will discover the Maasvlakte 2 with its most modern container terminals, the largest seagoing vessels in the world, and learn more about the latest offshore developments. During this day we will explore this area by bus and boat.

Maurice Jansen is a senior port researcher at Erasmus Centre for Urban, Port and Transport Economics at the Erasmus University Rotterdam. He is born, raised and educated in Rotterdam (EUR alumnus 1997 Business Administration) and has dedicated his career to port-cities. His knowledge on the port of Rotterdam covers both past, present and future.
Location
The port of Rotterdam is Europe's largest sea port. The port owes its leading position to its outstanding accessibility for sea-going vessels.
