Maria y Pepe Storytelling Event

Alumni in the spotlight!
Join us for a warm summer evening hosted by Erasmus University alumni Maria (MX) and Joost – aka “Pepe” (NL), the creative minds behind Maria y Pepe, a cultural and plant-based pop-up restaurant rooted in storytelling, food, and connection.

The Positive Impact Circle invites you to start the evening with networking drinks from 19:00 to 20:30 on the sunny terrace of OASE. Expect a short welcome by Maria y Pepe and enjoy delicious Mexican bites and drinks in good company.

From 20:30 to 22:00, the storytelling event opens to a wider audience. Themed “Trembling Knees, Sweaty Hands,” six storytellers from Maria y Pepe’s international network will share personal stories of fear, courage, and vulnerability. Maybe you’ll laugh, maybe you’ll cry – either way, you’ll leave inspired.

Who are Maria y Pepe?
Maria is originally from Mexico City, and Pepe – a Dutch ecopreneur and tree-lover – got his nickname from Maria’s father. Together, they bring their love for Mexican food, culture, and meaningful community experiences to life through a vibrant summer pop-up at OASE. What started as a dream between two people has grown into a project that connects food, storytelling, and people with all kinds of life experiences.
